Timothy Joseph McCarthy, beloved husband of Michele "Mickey" McCarthy (nee O'Connor). Loving dad of Meghan (Jarrod) Zeiser, Caitlin (Michael) Planalp, Sean (Rachel Stydnicki) McCarthy and Kevin McCarthy, devoted grandpa of Julia, Evan, and Nora, passed away on February 13, 2018 after a hard-fought battle with mesothelioma.
Tim was born and raised in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Cincinnati. He is a graduate of LaSalle High School, Yale University, and earned his doctorate from the University of Cincinnati. He was intelligent, athletic, hard-working, and selfless. A strong, silent type with a quick wit, he'd never disappoint with a one-line zinger. You could always find him at the ballpark, the office, the gym, or mowing the lawn. He was an avid reader and loved to travel. He was strong in faith, loved deeply, and was deeply loved. The hole in our hearts will never be filled.
Tim was preceded in death by his dad, Kenneth C. McCarthy and leaves behind his mother, Dolores Geiser McCarthy, sisters Pat (Russ) Faust, Kathy Heffron, Connie (Gary) Egbert, Becky (Steve) Busch, Mary (Jeff) Blount and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
