Tom "Louie" Mueller's work here is done and we can all raise a cold (preferably free) beer in memory of the man who made us laugh a little louder and live a little better. Tom passed away on February 27, 2018. He was a man of hard work and service during his heyday and a true man of leisure during his retirement. Tom had a penchant for adventure, love for family and friends, a biting wit, and a generous heart. He liked his corvettes & fairways fast, his beers cold & cheap, his naps frequent & uninterrupted, and his Pringles fresh & abundant. Those who knew him were blessed to learn a multitude of lessons from him during his 75 years, chief among them include: to live life on your own terms and to do what you love with a vengeance; that trail maps are for wimps; and a tuxedo can, in fact, be suitable attire on the ski slopes.
Tom was a hero by trade and served as member of the United States Army and the Cincinnati Fire Department. In his spare time he co-owned and operated White Oak's premier convenience store, George's Drive Thru, with his brother George and founded the west-side's most sought-after carpet and flooring operation, Carpets from Georgia. In retirement, he could most often be found traversing the beaches of Anna Maria Island, putting the greens of Fernbank Golf Club, or working on one of his many "projects," clad in his signature khaki shorts and (again, preferably free) t-shirt.
Tom is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Mueller (nee Krekeler) and brother George Mueller. He was the beloved husband of Jane Mueller (nee Pfau), brother of Mary Schroeder and father of Angela (Nate) Tremblay and Lisa (Joe) Doogan . He was a loving stepfather to Mark (Sherri), Tom (Marci) and Jon (Kelly) Hageman and grandfather of Natalie, Katie and Charlotte Tremblay; Cale, Quinn and Lane Doogan; Emily, Grace, Jake, Gordon, Trey, Megan and Joe Hageman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2832 Rosebud Dr. from 9:30AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM.
