KRUMM, Thomas B., of Cincinnati, Ohio, beloved husband of Mary O. Krumm (née O'Connor) for 52 years. Loving father of Bob (Cathy), Joe (Christina Martich) Krumm, Karen (Scott) Stringer, Nancy (Marc Richardson) Krumm Richardson and Ken (Carol) Krumm. Devoted grandfather of Caroline, Connor, Henry, Sophie, Eliza Krumm, Ben, Jonathan, Andrew Stringer, Alex, Isabella Richardson and Lily Hibner. Dear brother of Julie (Tom) Kinarney, Carolyn (Dave) Naas, Ray (Linda), Fr. John Krumm and the late Richard and Deacon Bill (Mary Ann) Krumm. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at 76 years of age.
Tom was born in Steubenville, Ohio and raised in Dayton. He was a veteran of the Ohio Air National Guard from 1963 to 1969 where he was a rigger and an aerial refueler in support of operations in Vietnam and in Germany during the Cold War. A graduate of Chaminade (Dayton) High School and of the University of Dayton, he was a CPA and a longtime employee of Arthur Andersen and the Foster Transformer Company. He and his wife retired to their farmhouse in Friendship, Indiana where they enjoyed entertaining family and friends in idyllic surroundings. He was chairman of the Friendship Village Association, was a member of the Ripley County Historical Society, the National Muzzleloaders Rifle Association, and American Legion Post 247. He was an active member St. Dominic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, St. John's Church in Osgood, Indiana, and St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon, Indiana.
Visitation is on Thursday September 7th at MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Rd., from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday September 8th at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 5222 North Bend Rd., at 11:00 AM, with luncheon immediately following.
