PIERCE, Shirley M., passed away surrounded by the love of her family at home on October 19, 2025, the daughter of the late Boyd and Bertha (Hatfield) Wheeler.
Loving mother of Donald (Sharon) Pierce and the late James Pierce Jr. Devoted grandmother of James III, Donnie , David (Rachel) Pierce, & Jessica Pierce, Jennifer (Rick) Young and Amber (Andrew) Palassis. Cherished great-grandmother of Robert James, Sadie, and Kendyl. Dear great-great-grandmother of Kaylee, Avah, Jaxson, and Waylen. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Shirley is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, James C. Pierce, her treasured son James Pierce Jr., and her siblings Mary Francis (DG) Sammons, Bud Wheeler, Betty (Frank) Lanzarotto, and Don Wheeler.
Shirley Pierce was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late James C. Pierce and the mother of the late James Pierce Jr. She is survived by her son, Don Pierce, along with Don’s family and the family of her late son, James Pierce Jr.
Shirley will be remembered for her kindness, her faith, and her deep love for family. Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Visitation at Meyer Funeral Home, 5864 Bridgetown Rd., on MONDAY, October 27, 2025, at 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
