Cleves

JEREMIAH, Shirley (nee Boehme) Beloved wife of the late Edward S. Jeremiah for 68 years. Loving mother of Ron Jeremiah and Joyce (Bill) Meyer. Devoted grandmother of Ron (Colleen) Jeremiah, Jennifer (Tim) Mechley, Joseph Jeremiah, Jeffrey Jeremiah, Michele (Shawn) Silvers, Michael (Kendra) Meyer, Christina (Josh) Ponath, Joel (Sydney) Meyer, and great grandmother of Jacob, Morgan, Mason, Connor, Kylee, Aiden, Kalie, Madi, Carter, Carson, Noelle, Sloane, Ezra, Weslyn, Amelia, Adalyn and Savannah. Also survived by her cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.  Shirley was an only child abundantly loved by her parents, May and Bud and was blessed that the family grocery store in Price Hill was where she could feel as if she had many brothers and sisters. Shirley learned to sing, play piano and the accordion. She learned how to sew and crochet making outfits and costumes. She even took an art class after she was married and made a few paintings. Her talents also included painting a beautiful ceramic Nativity set which she displayed every Christmas. In her early 50s she attended The College of Mount St. Joseph earning an Associate’s Degree in Business and Communications. Despite having polio at a young age, she didn’t let that stop her from enjoying helping others. She volunteered at the Christ Hospital visiting patients with the gift cart, supported the West Hills Music Club, The Price Hill Historical Society and Museum and the Three Rivers Woman’s Club. With husband Ed there were always activities to attend for their grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her love was felt by everyone who met her and she was always complimented on her beauty and fashionable dress. She really knew how to light up a room but gracefully let others have the spotlight. She looked forward to Music Monday at Bayley. While she was living at Bayley Place she enjoyed getting out to get her hair done followed with dining out and sweet treats after. Her favorite was chocolate, pastries and ice cream. A bonus for her was catching the sunset on the ride home.  Her children Ron and Joyce were her pride and joy. She never missed a moment to tell them how much she loved them and was praying for them. She was the heartbeat of our family.
