Sandra Jean Holthaus-Bellman

BELLMAN, Sandra “Sandy” Jean (nee Holthaus), passed away surrounded by the love of her family on May 14th, 2025 at the age of 63. She was born in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Virginia (nee Olding) Holthaus.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, John Bellman. Loving mother to John Bellman Jr., Michelle (Nicholas) Busken, and Rebecca (Johnathan Snider) Bellman. Beloved grandmother to Nyjah, Roman, Cora, Grace Jean, and Hardin. Sandra is survived by her many treasured siblings. She is also survived by other family members and friends.

Sandy’s warm, welcoming smile would light up any room. She was passionate about God, family, and work. She worked at Proctor and Gamble for 31 years. She was an innovator that helped start and finish projects that boosted efficiency and financial growth. She was able to retire in 2017 at the age of 55. This provided her the time to be with her family more, watch and play with her grandchildren, and pick up a bit of gardening. Sandy was extremely selfless. Oftentimes she would be fetching drinks, napkins, utensils, and other accoutrements to ensure those seated were taken care of. Sandy was a devoted wife to John of 41 years. When John had the opportunity to golf on Saturday mornings, she would wake up early to cook him breakfast. Her time away from work allowed the two to rediscover the love that brought them together in the first place. She and John opened their home to their adult children and their families and never once complained about how loud and messy they were. Her love for God was abound and this helped guide her family to follow in Jesus’ footsteps. Anytime you left the house, you knew you had the armor of God on your back as she quickly proclaimed her trademark blessing: “May God bless you, keep you safe, and give you wisdom.” She loved her family so much and would do anything to ensure their safety, protection, and happiness. She will be so greatly missed.

Visitation at BJ Meyer Sons Funeral Home, 5864 Bridgetown Rd., THURSDAY from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM. Sandra will be laid to rest at St. Joseph New Cemetery following services.
