Russell James Lindhorst

LINDHORST, Russell J. Beloved husband of Rita C. Lindhorst (nee Ratterman). Devoted father of James (Susie), Richard and Mary Ann (Tom) Lonergan. Loving grandfather of Allison Lindhorst and Lindsey and Lee Lonergan. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his sister, Dorethea Umberg. Passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 86 years of age. Russell was an honored WWII veteran having served in the 15th Air Force 449th Bomb Group. He was awarded an Air Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters for heroism and meritorious achievement. His unit received The Presidential Unit Citation for extraordinary heroism in action. He was a loyal employee of Cincinnati Bell for 43 years, serving in numerous rolls including operations, sales and marketing management. He was a member of the Elder Alumni Assoc., AXE, Cincinnati Bell Pioneers and various golf leagues. Visitation will be Tuesday at St. Simon the Apostle Church, 825 Pontius Road from 9:30AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM.
