MANSFIELD, Roy D. Jr., passed away on November 19, 2025. He was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late Roy D. and Nellie (nee Venzlowski) Mansfield.
Roy is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Sally (nee Moeller) Mansfield. Loving father of Holly (Jay) Danner, Jeff (Kristen) Mansfield, and Melanie Jordan. Cherished grandpa of Matthew (Samantha Bunt), Paige, & Elizabeth Danner and Haley, Abigail, & Chloe (Josh Hetzel) Jordan. Pawpaw of Easton and Grayson. Dear brother of Roger (Karen) Mansfield, Leslie (the late Walter) Wymer, and Diane (the late Ted) Kehrlein. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Husband, Dad, Grandpa, PawPaw...Roy's greatest accomplishment and joy was his family. He and his wife Sally were married for 61 years. They have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He retired from United Parcel Service at age 52, which allowed him to spend time doing the things he loved.
Those included taking the whole family on vacations to Florida, Disney and Gatlinburg where so many memories were made. He also went on annual trips to Florida with his wife Sally, where they made cherished friendships and he practiced his golf game. He also made many trips to Amish country with family and friends.
Roy also loved spending time at the family property in Indiana where he and his own Dad, along with his wife and children, built a log cabin. Many of his happiest memories were made there, starting with his children, then later with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed hosting gatherings out there for family and friends.
Roy enjoyed woodworking and was especially skilled at furniture making. He made many solid oak furniture pieces, inspired by his trips to Amish country, which will be passed down to future generations.
"Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day... unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear."
