Rose Marie Ruark (nee Zahneis), passed away in her home on December 23, 2022 at the age of 93.  She was the beloved mother to Pat (Connie) Ruark, Kathy (Tim) Wood, Dan (Wendy) Ruark, and Peggy Ernst and the cherished grandmother to Tricia (Larry) Richards, Kelsey (Dan) Downing, Tim (Erin) Ruark, Mark (Robyn) Schwarz, Jim (Brenda) Schwarz, Ryan Wood, Cameron Wood, Chris (Lynn) Ruark, Kyle (Nicole) Ruark, Emily (Tyler) Doty, Courtney (Nick) Moffitt, and Drew Ernst.  She was also the loving great grandmother of 22 great grandchildren.  Rose rarely missed a sporting event of her grandkids when they were growing up and always had candy in her purse to share at the games.  She loved making cookies, doing puzzles and watching the Reds.  Her eyes would light up when she had visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Rose was the dear sister of Richard (Mary) Zahneis, and the late Joseph (Marge) Zahneis, Robert (Laverne) Zahneis, and Margaret (Butch) Bomkamp.  Also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1175 Overlook Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Visitation will be at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.   In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Metzcor, 2859 Boudinot Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45238.
