Ronald E. Littlefield

LITTLEFIELD, Ronald E. Beloved husband of the late Alta Marie Littlefield (Nee Heady) for 67 years. Loving father of Shirley (Mark) VanHook and the late Ronald E. Littlefield Jr. Loving grandfather of Rachel (Joe) Bartels, Shannon (Ron) VanHook - Durham, Jesse (Sheila) Littlefield, Mark (Shelly) VanHook and great grandfather of Abigail, Wyatt, Tristan, Chase, Harper, Cash, Jesse, Remi and Jaxson. Dear brother of the late Paul Littlefield. Also survived by his nieces, nephews, other family and friends. 

Ronald loved all things outdoors. He would often spend time on his beloved farm, planting, hanging out in the hunting shed, and working on cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time at his ‘camp’ in Aurora. Ronald was an avid race fan and would travel with his family to watch all styles from dirt track to Nascar. You could find him riding his moped through the neighborhood and in later years riding his white scooter on trails and off-roading. 

Ronald and his beloved wife Alta of 67 years would spend time watching football, taking extended trips to Fort Meyers in the winter, and visiting the Moose Lodge where he was a member. Ronald and Alta’s favorite phrase was ‘I love you more’. They both enjoyed White’s Flea Market and Friendship. Ronald was happiest when all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren would come hang out at the house or when he was going to their sporting events. 

Ron passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 88 years of age. Visitation at MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Rd., on WEDNESDAY from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON.
