Robert B. Mecklenborg

MECKLENBORG, Robert B. Beloved husband of the late Betty D. Mecklenborg (née Dagenbach) for 65 years. Loving father of Bob (Jan) Mecklenborg, Randy Mecklenborg and Lori (Mike) Kelley. Devoted grandfather of Jill (Aaron) Royer, Rob Mecklenborg, Laura (Jerry) Hall, Evan (Jill) Mecklenborg and Rachel (Brad) Almendinger and great grandfather of Jack, Lucy, Rosie Mae and Grace Elizabeth. Dear brother of the late Ruth Niemeyer, Marjorie Weisshaar and Paul Mecklenborg. Brother in law of Mary Mecklenborg. Also survived by many nieces nephews and friends. Robert was General Agent for the Ohio National Life Insurance Co., long time member and past president of Miami View Golf Club. He was an inductee of the Price Hill Baseball Hall of Fame, an accomplished musician, bridge player, fisherman and an alumnus of Western Hills H.S. and University of Cincinnati (BA and MBA). While he was proud of his church, civic and professional involvements and accomplishments, his loving wife, family and faith were the central tenets of his life. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 91 years of age. Visitation at MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Rd., on Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
