Robert Gilpin

GILPIN, Robert (Bob) Carl, 77 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on September 5, 2016 at Cincinnati Hospice Center. Born January 18, 1939 to the late Clarence and Estell Gilpin of Cincinnati, Ohio. Bob served in the Air Force from June, 1959 to October 1961 with the 66th Air Police SQ. He retired after 27 years from the Cincinnati Police Department as Police Specialist. Coached girls little league softball. Bob loved to bowl, fish and spend time with his family. Preceded in death by one son, Michael Gilpin, one brother, James Gilpin and one sister, Mary Gilpin Bennett. Surviving is his beloved wife of 47 years Ruby Jones Gilpin, one daughter Lisa Gilpin of Cincinnati, Ohio. Sons Bobby Gilpin of Washington State, Terry Gilpin of Texas, one step-daughter Diana (Michael) Kennedy of Kentucky, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bob will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Visitation MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Road, on Friday from 11:00AM until time of Service at 1:00PM.
