Richard R. Davis

DAVIS, Richard R. ‘Rick’ Beloved husband of Kathy A. Davis (Nee Brabender) for 52 years. Loving father of Rebecca (Dave) Weinmann and Jennifer (Michael) Blum. Devoted grandfather of McKenzie (Prabha Sethuraja) Davis, Anthony Weinmann and Ella Weinmann. Dear brother of Tina (Mike) Holtgrefe, Jim (Paula) Davis, Tom (Robin) Davis and Beth (Mike) Rees. Also survived by his nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Rick was an Eagle Scout who loved scouting. He started  his first job working at Mcdonalds where he became manager. He  graduated from LaSalle in 1969. He attended Thomas Moore University  for his undergraduate degree then received his MBA from Xavier University. He worked in the IT field for most of  his career. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping with his kids and grandkids. His favorite thing about camping was cooking over an open fire with his cast iron. He also enjoyed wildlife and feeding his birds every morning. He always looked forward to attending his grandkids sporting events. Every Sunday he would love to attend church service with his family followed by a wonderful breakfast with everyone. Fall was his favorite time of the year where he would look forward to decorating for Halloween, attending Oktoberfest, trips to Metamora Indiana and  Brown County Indiana. Rick was a man of strength, honor and courage who loved helping his community and others in need. Rick's happiness was his family and he did everything in his power to make sure his family was always provided for. He will be greatly missed.

 Rick passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 73 years of age. Visitation at MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Rd., on FRIDAY from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Church, 5924 Bridgetown Rd., on SATRUDAY at 10:30 AM.
