BOEHM, Richard “Dick” F. Beloved husband of Rosario “Rose” T. Boehm (nee Treviño) for over 33 years. Loving father of Jennifer, Douglas, Julianna, and Eric Laurin, Lynda Laurin. Devoted grandfather of grandchildren Justin, Jordan, Jessica, Ava, Paige, Lucinda, Josiah, Sebastian, Stefan, and great-grandchildren Denver, Sonny. Dear brother of Jerry W. Boehm. Also survived by treasured friend Alex Parniuk. Passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 83 years of age in the holy embrace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, with family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mildred Boehm, and his grandson Zander Laurin.
Dick, as he was affectionately known, was a pillar in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. A man of few words, a man of principle, his actions were king. His journey on earth was one marked by character, duty, fidelity, loyalty, and unwavering faith in God and his purpose.
A faithful United States Marine Corps Veteran, Dick served his country and had an unconditional commitment to honor and unusual devotion to duty, also serving the United States Department of Justice for over 28 years. Devoted to the public service of the United States, he served as a special Federal Agent in criminal investigations for the Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and as a Ohio State Highway Patrolman.
A man of integrity, depth, character, ethics, passion, and grit, with an unquenchable knowledge of history, he approached life with vigor and a fearless regard for himself, placing his country and others before him and any of his personal needs. One of his favorite themes was, “The Lone Ranger,” and one of his favorite quotes were, "Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American G.I."
His passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. A true patriot, his legacy will carry on forever reminding us of the following, "I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do."
