KOHLS, Paul H. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul “Herbie” Kohls, who left us peacefully at the age of 85. A devoted husband to his beloved wife Joan for 64 years, he was the love of her life and the center of his family’s universe.
Loving father of Doug (Holly) Kohls, Regina (Tony Pham) Kohls and Joseph (Christin) Kohls. Devoted grandfather of Mara (Cory) Prickett, Paul H. (Leah) Kohls, Noah (Ana) Kohls, Ed Kohls (Missy Meyers), August Kohls, Louis Pham, Cameron Kohls, Jude Kohls, and great grandfather of Lucy, Theo and Thomas. Dear brother of Jeanne Daly and the late Angie Fox, Liz Witte and Ted Kohls. Also survived by his numerous, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Paul was a loving father and grandfather, cherished by all who knew him. Known for his kindness and gentle spirit, he had a calming presence that brought comfort to everyone around him. His thoughtful words and unwavering support made a lasting impact on countless lives.
After more than 35 years at Procter and Gamble, he retired at the age of 55, but his entrepreneurial spirit thrived as he founded the Burlington Antique Show at age 42, an event that continues to flourish in its 43rd year.
A man of deep faith, Paul prayed the rosary daily and attended morning Mass for many decades, grounding his life in his Catholic faith.
He will be remembered for his love, wisdom, and the joy he brought to his family and friends. His legacy of kindness and devotion will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear Dad. We will forever miss your sparkling blue eyes, your smile, and your world-famous cheesecakes, cream puffs and brown bread. We love you dearly and you will be missed beyond measure.
