HOLLSTEGGE, Muriel "Merle, Liz" (nee Batter), devoted wife of the late Richard Hollstegge. Beloved mother of Richard (Betty), Kathy (John) Schroeder, Diane Collopy (Scott Schiller), Karen, Laurie and Sandy. Cherished grandmother of Jenny, Mara, Leah, Lisa, Kate and Aly. Loving sister of the late Lillian Moorman, Jim Batter and Joan Wavra. Life-long friend of Eileen Fisher. Passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2006, after a courageous battle against cancer. She never complained. Her indomitable spirit and compassion made her a friend and an inspiration to many. She was an eternal optimist and had the ability to find beauty and joy all around. She loved history and learning, and inspired a love of learning in her children. She loved blue cotton-candy, flowers, glorious sunny days but most of all - her family. Visitation MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Road, Friday from 11:00AM to 12:30PM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial St. Ignatius Loyola, 5222 North Bend Road, at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, look for the good in each day, hug your family, help someone in need, smile and be thankful for your blessings. Family would appreciate memorials in the form of spiritual bouquets or masses. We miss her already.
