NORDMAN, Michael “Mike” Lee, passed away peacefully at his home on December 4, 2025 at the age of 62. He was born in Cincinnati, OH, the son of the late Russell and Phyllis (nee Veid) Nordman.
Mike is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Judy Ann Nordman (nee McDermott). Loving father of Zach (Emily) Nordman and Kelcy (Nick) Lacker. Cherished pawpaw of Russell, Tucker, and Louis. Dear brother of Jerry (Shawna), Scott (Leah), and Doug (Brenda) Nordman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Mike was a big lover of the outdoors, loved hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. Mike was an avid hiker/backpacker in his younger years with his friends. They had many of great memories in the Red River Gorge through the years. He would also take camping trips often with his family and friends to a number of different state parks over the many years.
Hunting and fishing were just some of his favorite hobbies to do with his children and friends. Mike was also a lover of his sports teams, Mikes biggest teams to support were THE Ohio State Buckeyes, Green Bay Packers and he also loved rooting for the hometown Bengals even if they did make him mad watching them more often then not. He also loved watching NASCAR, his favorite drivers to cheer on every Sunday were Kasey Kahne, Dale Earnhardt Jr and Martin Truex Jr. All three drivers are retired now but those were his favorite to cheer on.
Mike loved shooting with his children and friends at the NMLRA (National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association) he was a member for over 20 years. He also made the USIMLT (United States International Muzzle Loading Team) with his son Zach in 2008 and 2010. Mike also participated in the NSSA (North South Skirmish Association) for a number of years.
Mike had a love for car's and just anything with an engine in it. If it had an engine, it had his interest right away. Its hard saying how many cars, bikes and off road vehicles Mike had over the years but we all know on thing he enjoyed having every single one he got his hands on.
Mike also was a avid trier of new things and that being in his love of bourbon, beer and new restaurants. If he thought it was going to taste good he was going to try it. He found many new brewery's and bourbon makers that had great beer and bourbon and man he was going to make sure you tried it to.
On clear summer nights and cold winter nights you could probably find him and mom playing a game of Scrabble (even though he thought mom had some really good made up word's that somehow would be an actual word), if they weren't playing that it would be a game of Sequence or some sort of card game they both enjoyed playing together.
Last of all, I don't know if he loved anything more then his wife, children and grandsons (Grandsons definitely were the favorite, they had him wrapped around their little fingers).
