Michael A. Luckey

February 2, 1954 — March 1, 2024

Colerain Township

Michael Luckey, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, was indeed rare and extraordinary. Admired as a man of God, Michael was firmly grounded in his faith, which pervaded every aspect of his life. He was cherished by his beloved wife of 41 years, Pamela Luckey (Nee Bilotta). Their love story was unique - Pamela would dream, and Michael would build it into reality. He was her rock, and she was his anchor.

Michael wore many hats in his life, figuratively and literally. A hard worker with an unwavering dedication to his craft, he had an unparalleled talent for understanding the mechanics of cars, motorcycles, and many other things. He built motorcycles and always had a truck. But more than a mechanic, he was creative. Whether it was building ice rinks and igloos for his daughters, Tara (Rocco) Castellano and Christy (Allen) Blevins, or making some repairs at home, he embodied imagination and ingenuity. Always being silly with his grandchildren, Giovanni and Olivia would entertain him with magic shows and gymnastics.

A selfless protector and provider, Michael brightened every room he entered. Always having loved a good party, his humor was infectious. His love for classic rock and worship music reflected his colorful personality. He was a singer in the rowdy bass section of the choir he was a part of for 21 years at White Oak Christian Church.

Michael loved his family. He was the oldest of six children, David Luckey (Mary Woodruff), Tommy Luckey, Nick (Teresa) Luckey, Mary Jo (John) Schablein, and Jeff (Jimileidy) Luckey. He enjoyed the adventure of camping and hiking and shared these experiences with his loved ones. Michael also had a profound love for dogs, a testament to his caring and compassionate nature.

His association with the Wisdom Warriors and the men of the Untouchables motorcycle group allowed him to foster a family of like-minded, godly people. Michael lived his life as a guidebook of wisdom, always seeking counsel from friends, listening to God's word, and trusting in His timing.

In his free time, Michael enjoyed relaxing on his back deck with bourbon and a cigar while planning his next adventure or project. Despite his adventurous spirit, Michael never got a tattoo because he could never decide on what design he wanted. But one thing was certain: He left his mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

Please join us on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the White Oak Christian Church, 3675 Blue Rock Rd., to celebrate Michael’s life. Visitation is from 1 PM, leading up to the funeral service at 2:30 PM. Michael may have passed on, but he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life fully lived. His life was a testament to dedication, love, and faith. He loved and was loved in return by many. His footprints remain etched in the sands of the lives he touched. Michael's memory will forever be ingrained with love and respect in our hearts. May he rest in peace and continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
