Matthew J Umberg

Matthew J. Umberg (09/09/1972 - 05/14/2026), loving father of Jacob and Tyler Umberg. Cherished son of Pauline C. Umberg (nee Wagner) and the late James J. Umberg. Beloved friend and former husband of Jennifer Umberg (nee Ziegler). Dear brother of Trina Umberg (Tom Koprowski). Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 53 years of age.
Matthew was a union pipefitter for local 392 and a life-long resident of Cincinnati. Outside of work, his passion lay with mechanics and tinkering on cars. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend and was the go-to mechanic to those who knew him.He will be remembered by his big personality, crazy stories, and bright blue eyes. Everyone who knew Matt will miss the way he brightened a room just by entering it – if he was there, it was going to be a good time.Visitation will be held at Meyer Funeral Home, 5864 Bridgetown Rd., on Friday, May 29, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ignatius Church, 5222 North Bend Rd., on Saturday, May 30, at 10:30 AM.
