Marilyn S. Brewer

BREWER, Marilyn S., passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born on September 29, 1948, in Beaver Falls, PA, the daughter of the late William R. and Twila M. (nee Valentine) Brewer. 

Marilyn is survived by her loving sister Sharon (Ben) Martinez and was a Beloved God Mother to Joshua Harris and treasured friend of Lisa Eckel. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.

At this sad time, I’m pleased to remember the accomplishments of Marilyn, who served as an excellent Spanish teacher and Foreign Language Department Head at Oak Hill's High School. She had a talent for making learning fun for her students. Marilyn first discovered that she enjoyed working with teenagers when she worked as a pledge trainer at her Sorority at Ohio State University. Marilyn told me that she loved teaching and it was clear to me that the staff and students loved her because they remained friends over the years.Marilyn, my wonderful sister, was a hard-working risk taker who enjoyed having fun and swimming with the Dolphins on a recent trip to Kona, Hawaii. Marilyn will be missed by all the people whose lives she touched and especially by me.

Visitation will be held at B.J. Meyer Funeral Home, 5864 Bridgetown Rd., on SUNDAY, October 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. 

Funeral Service will be held at Oak Hills Methodist Church, 6069 Bridgetown Rd., on MONDAY, October 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
