MURPHY, Mae A. (nee Booso), beloved wife of the late Robert E. Murphy for 22 years. Loving mother of Kathleen (Steve) Kirby, Eileen Muccino, and Don (Anne) Murphy. Devoted grandmother of Tracy Pearson, Scott Gerke, Tony and Angela Muccino, Erin (Jeremy) Viltro, Ryan and Jordan Murphy. Dear great grandmother of Whitney, Hayley and Chase Pearson, Alex and Mason Muccino, Anna and Sam Viltro. Mae married Bob while he was on leave from his unit in World War II and they settled in Cincinnati to raise their family. For a few years the family lived in Germany while Bob served in the U.S. Army. Mae was widowed in 1965 and continued to live a very rich, rewarding life. She was an avid sports fan as a member of the Rosie Reds and a Bengals season ticket holder since their inception. She also loved to travel, having driven from Cincinnati to California and back numerous times; she organized bus trips for her fellow workers at the Internal Revenue Service where she was a Tax Examiner for over 20 years. As an avid bridge player Mae was active in numerous Bridge Clubs having been involved in one club, "The Crosley Club" for over 60 years. As an active volunteer she donated her time to the Mercy Hospital-Western Hills as the gift shop bookkeeper for many years. Passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at 89 years of age. Visitation MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Road, on Thursday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral Service Friday 10:00AM at the funeral home.
