HULSMAN, Lucy, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born on November 19,1940, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of the late William and Catherine (nee Overman) Fulton. Lucy is survived by loving sons Dennis (Jill) Hulsman and Doug (Debbie) Hulsman. Beloved grandmother of Sarah (Justin) Miller, Katie (Chris Johnson) Hulsman, Jason (Jessica) Hulsman, Zach Hulsman, Abby (Bryce) Ray, Nathan Hulsman. Treasured sister-in-law of Walt St. Clair. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Lucy is preceded in passing by her siblings Patricia (James) Wood, Mary (Robert) Ahr, Carole (Carl) Stuhlreyer, and Donna St. Clair. Lucy loved her family immensely and spending time with them brought her much joy. She was supportive, always making sure to show up for the small and big things in her children and grandchildren’s lives. She made it a priority to attend academic events, music recitals, and even traveled across the country to watch her grandkids play collegiate sports or visit them in their new home states. She loved continuing family traditions like Easter piñatas, having sauerkraut on New Year’s Day, and making Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. Lucy was a longtime member of St. Jude’s Parish and was deeply dedicated to her Catholic faith. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Angels High School. Professionally, Lucy was an office admin for Hamilton County Child Support Services. She was honest, curious, and quick to laugh, even at her own expense. She would always tell you what was on her mind. She loved chatting on the phone with friends and family for hours, wanting to know what they were up to, and was happy to share her musings on life. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, listening and watching nearly every game. You could often count on her sending celebratory texts after the Reds won. She enjoyed the little things in life, like crocheting, afternoons at the pool, tending to her plants, observing the wildlife in her backyard, writing letters to her lifelong pen pal in England, playing pinochle with friends, and sips of Fireball whiskey. She was also very active in her community, frequently attending events at the Green Township Senior Center and Silver Sneakers workout classes. She enjoyed traveling, often going on bus trips with the senior center and vacations with her family. Lucy will be remembered for her faith and deep love of family. She will be profoundly missed and forever cherished. Memorial services will be held at St Jude Catholic Church, 5924 Bridgetown Road, on FRIDAY, July 17, 2026 and 10:30AM.
