SEITZ, LaVerne D. (nee Dick) Beloved wife of the late William J. Seitz Jr. Loving mother of William J. Seitz III, James C. (Jeannine) Seitz and Mary Beth (Marc) Baverman. Cherished grandmother of Andrew (Meghan) Seitz, Bradley (Maria) Seitz, Laura (Clark) Rinehart, Marc Jr.(Ashley) Baverman, Amy (Mike) Babicke, Michelle Baverman and great grandmother of Margaret, Jack, Sophia, Anna, Will and Oscar. Dear sister of Betty (Werner) Jessen, the late Marion Heilmann and sister-in-law of Mary Lou Heiden. Also survived by her nieces Diane Heilmann, Carol (John) Voss, Jan Heiden, nephews Dick (Debbie) Heilmann, Werner and Paul Jessen and daughter-in-law Diane Seitz. LaVerne was an active member, elder and deacon of Westwood First Presbyterian Church. She served as president of Westwood Woman's Club and a member of the Cincinnati Woman's Club. While her kids grew up, she was president of the Ohio Council of PTAs and Cincinnati Council of PTAs. A proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati, she was initiated to the Mortar Board and to Kappa Delta Sorority. LaVerne was an avid bridge and tennis player and was inducted into the Western Hills High School Alumni Athletes Hall of Fame. She especially enjoyed travel and vacations with family and friends. LaVerne passed away peacefully on June 4, 2016 at 89 years of age. Visitation on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Rd.
