Laurie E. Smith

Laurie E. Smith (58) beloved wife of Dudley G. Smith, mother of Dudley F. Smith (Brianne) and Courtney C. Gutierrez (Robert), passed away on July 19, 2011, following a six year battle with cancer. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Dudley "Tommy" and Hunter J. Smith, sisters Mary Alice Vetter (Jack), Suzanne Smith (Jeff) and brothers, Thomas (Diana), Jeffrey (Cherie) and Christopher (Cathy) Frey. She also loved and was survived by her brother-in-laws and their families, Bradley (Janet) and Brentley (Cindy) Smith and mother-in-law Mrs. Dudley W. (Jane) Smith. She has many nieces, nephews and friends that loved and will miss her. Laurie was a graduate of St. Ursula Academy and attended classes at the University of Cincinnati where she was employed as a Business Service Associate with the Department of Public Safety. Laurie was a former small business owner of Laurie's Ceramics where she used her talents to teach others crafts and painting, and an active member of St. Teresa of Avila Church where she spent many years working with the school, Boy Scouts, bingo and as assistant festival chairman.
