Jeanne R. Wissel

Jeanne R. Wissel (nee Manning), age 90, of Cincinnati, Ohio died peacefully surrounded by family and caregivers Friday January 27, 2017 at her home. Jeanne was born in Covington, Kentucky, the daughter of Wilhelmina and Thomas Manning. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy. Jeanne worked for many years at Kahn's Meat Co. and retired from there as an executive secretary. In retirement she attended many Notre Dame Academy Alumni Association events. Jeanne actively participated in the Kahn's Retiree Association, using her secretarial skills to help with bookkeeping and mailings over the years. Jeanne loved to crochet afghans and enjoyed playing golf with her husband Ray. Each year she traveled with him to many World War II reunions of the 88th Infantry Division. Jeanne is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond C. Wissel. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Hill. She was the loving stepmother to Kathy (Ralph) Kitts, Carol (Steve) Horn, Mary Wissel M.D., Rita (Steve) Bradley, Bob (Vicki) Wissel and Sue (Bob) Breitenstein. Devoted grandmother of Chris Kitts, Carolyn, Greg Horn, T.J. Bradley, Ashley, Sarah Wissel, Lydia, Maggie Breitenstein and our angel Natalie Bradley. Loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Visitation Tuesday, January 31 at St. Martin of Tours, 3720 St. Martins Pl.
