GRATON, Jeanice Mary Ann, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on July 28, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on June 28,1943, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Edna (nee Mingua) Sterbling.

Jeanice is survived by her loving children Hollie Bauer and Robb Graton. Cherished grandmother of Jamie and Joshua Bauer. Beloved sister of Jeanette VanKirk. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Jeanice is preceded in passing by dear brother Jospeh Sterbling.

Jeanice was a woman of deep Christian faith whose relationship with God guided her life and shaped the compassion, integrity, and genuine kindness she extended to everyone she met. Her caring heart, generous spirit, and appreciation for others made a lasting impression on family, friends, and neighbors alike.

Throughout her career, as a cake decorator, her creative passion and extraordinary artistic talent brought her immense joy in transforming simple ingredients into beautiful works of art that celebrated life’s most meaningful moments. Her creativity reflected both her attention to detail and the love she poured into everything she did.

She also found happiness in tending her gardens, spending time outdoors, and embracing the beauty of God’s creation. Whether nurturing flowers, enjoying nature, or simply appreciating the quiet moments of everyday life, she found contentment in life’s simple blessings.

She had a special devotion to her beloved cats, whose companionship brought her comfort and joy throughout the years. They were cherished members of her family and a reflection of her gentle, nurturing spirit.

Independent, honest, and guided by strong integrity, she lived her life with quiet strength and authenticity. She treasured her family and friends, always placing their happiness and well-being before her own. Her generosity, compassionate heart, and genuine concern for others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, creativity, kindness, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. May those who knew and loved her find comfort in the countless memories she created and the enduring example of a life lived with grace, purpose, and love.
