Janet Lou (Cox) Kahn of Ormond Beach, Florida left this world to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018. Her loving family was honored to surround her with constant and complete care to the very end. At the time of her death, she was 77 years old. Janet was the daughter of Lester and Dorothy (Cornelius) Cox, born in Cincinnati, OH on September 4th, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jerry Kahn, her beloved and adored daughter, Carrie Kahn Courtney and her caring son-in-law Stanley Alton Courtney, Jr. She was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother. Janet was also a dedicated and hard worker. Having joined the work force at age 14, she dabbled in several business ventures including working in a confectionary store, developing her own business entitled "Jan and Dot's Variety Store", owning as well as running her own bar, and selling fine jewelry at Sears. Whatever the duty, Janet put her heart and soul into every task at hand. After marrying the love of her life and giving birth to her daughter, Janet chose to be a stay at home mom for many years, fully devoting herself to her family. She exemplified the importance of "family first" in all of her endeavors and she continuously sacrificed her needs for those she loved. She was the epitome of grace and dignity. Janet Kahn was truly loved by all who had the privilege to know her. Visitation B.J. Meyer Sons Overlook Memorial Center, 4841 Glenway Avenue (next to St. Teresa Church) on Saturday from 11:00AM until time of Funeral Service at 12:00PM. Followed by interment at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
