Jacqueline Proffitt

PROFFITT, Jacqueline (Jackie) Scott, 84, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2014. She was born August 10, 1929 in Matewan, West Virginia, the only daughter of the late Jim and Oma Scott both of whom died while she was a young child. Jackie was raised on a farm by her maternal grandparents, the late Wert and Bertha Cooke. Mrs. Proffitt is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Layton Proffitt. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Proffitt is survived by six children, Joseph (Deborah) Proffitt, Cindy (Albert) Tenbrink, Patricia (Skip) Parnell, Kathy Fox, Terri (Jack) Cramerding, Michael Proffitt, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation B.J. Meyer Sons Overlook Memorial Center, 4841 Glenway Avenue, (next to St. Teresa Church) on Thursday, January 16th, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, followed by Christian Service at 6:15PM.
