JOHNS, Irene Catherine "Katie", "Mom.....Grandma, Thank You". Wife of the late Fred T. Johns, Mother of Sharon Gail-Johns Schmick (Robert) (Annapolis, Maryland) and Dr. Gary Thomas Johns, Grandmother of Julianna Leigh Johns, Mark Bradley Schmick (Oakland, California) and Timothy Page Schmick (Bozeman, Montana). Her work history included over forty years as a employee of the Department of Human Services. Her generosity was limitless and she held an absolute sincerity to her faith. Her thought for others led her to sponsor young men through the seminary onto ordination. Fr. Abraham Vettiyankal (CMI), her first seminarian, is president of Christ Junior College in Bangalore, India. Irene also served as the Vice President of the St. Aloysius Orphanage Auxiliary, devoted her time to the St. Catherine of Siena St. Anne's Society as well as to seniors in her community. Irene was born May 18, 1910, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2006. Visitation St. Catherine of Siena, 2848 Fischer Place, on Saturday 9:00AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM. B.J.
