HOCK, Gloria E. (Elsen) Beloved wife of Philip J. Hock for 65 wonderful years. Devoted mother of Philip III (Peggy), Thomas (Mariann), Robert, Richard (Cathy), Peggy (Steve) Dehne, David (Leanne), John (Meg). Cherished grandmother of Erin (Scott) Brinkman, Julie (Kevin) Hendrickson, Becky (Chris) Ketchum, Missy (Shawn) Parke, Brian (Jennifer), Brittany (Drew Garvin), Grant, Megan (Cory) Ramsey, Shannon Dehne, Lauren Dehne, Brendan, Matt, JD, Emily and Andrew and great grandmother of eight. Dear sister of Frank (Jean) Elsen and Bob (late Marian) Elsen. Sister-in-law to Howard (late Joan) Hock and Joan (late Dick) Schulte. Also surviving many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Born on Easter Sunday, March 31, 1929 to the late Frank and Margaret Elsen. Gloria was a volunteer at her children's schools and at the Mercy Hospital gift shop for many years. A quiet benefactor to many charities, Gloria was always about faith and people. She embodied the golden rule as she always put others first - family, friends and community. Her name befit her as she was a glorious spirit, full of love, humor and compassion. Sharing her joy of life with all, she was especially magical with children. Traveling and playing cards with family and friends were favorite pastimes. Gloria was loved by many and will be dearly missed. She passed peacefully on October 28, 2015 at the age of 86. Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2015, from 5PM to 7PM at Meyer Funeral Home, 5864 Bridgetown Rd, Cincinnati 45248. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 31, 2015, 10AM at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, 4366 Bridgetown Rd, Cincinnati 45211.
