WILSON, Gerald G. “Jerry”, passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born on February 14, 1948, in Addyston, OH, the son of the late Fred D. and Georgette A. (nee Ebert) Wilson.
Jerry is survived by his loving children Jeremy (Brandi) Harsin and Mandy (Blake) Wragge. Cherished grandpa of Bralen Harsin, Azalee Harsin, Mallory, Brinley, Tripp Wragge, and Rowan Wragge. Treasured great-grandpa of Emerson and Bayne. Dear brother of Marcia (the late Jim Doreflein & Terry Sieve) Sieve and Jim (the late Martha) Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Jerry is preceded in passing by his wife Gloria Wilson and his son Brad Wilson.
Jerry was born in Addyston, Ohio, and raised in Harrison, Ohio. He was a talented athlete and was honored with induction into the Harrison High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006. After high school, he attended Peru State College in Nebraska, where he competed as a pole vaulter. Upon returning to Ohio, Jerry dedicated 33 years to Monsanto, working as a Bulk Logistics Coordinator in distribution. Throughout his adult life, he was an avid softball player, forming lifelong friendships that he deeply valued. Even after retiring, Jerry remained active, working for 14 years with Terracon in construction geological engineering testing, a role he truly enjoyed. He had a love for nature, music, watching hawks, and especially enjoyed biking the trails at Miami Whitewater Forest. He was also a man of strong faith and a faithful member of St. Jude Parish for over 40 years, known for his deep knowledge of the Bible and for being someone others turned to when they had questions or needed guidance. Above all, Jerry was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished his family and took great pride in the legacy they represent.
Visitation will be held on FRIDAY, April 24, 2026, at B.J. Meyer Sons Funeral Home, 5864 Bridgetown Road, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Memorial Service will be held following the visitation at 8:00pm.
