Dear brother of the late Frances (Bob) VonAllmen and N. John (Ginny) Campisano. Also survived by his many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 99 years of age.

Frank was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 14, 1926, to his parents Napoleon Campisano and Beatrice Vish Campisano. During his youth he worked at his parents’ grocery store, Nap’s Key Market, on Stilz Avenue. He graduated early from St. Xavier high school with ten of his classmates to enter a special engineering degree program at the University of Louisville. That journey in his life was interrupted by WWII. According to his words, he was drafted by the Navy. When he went for enlistment, he was pulled from the Navy line and moved to the Marine Corps line.

He proudly served his country as a Marine in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war he finished his engineering degree at the University of Louisville. Post graduation, Frank was employed with the Navy in Indianapolis, IN. On “temporary” assignment to Washington, D.C. to help cut through bureaucratic “red tape,” he met Josie who was also working for the Navy. They got engaged and married in 1952.

Advancing his career, Frank joined Aerovox Corporation headquartered in New Bedford, MA. He and Josie began growing their family right away. Sons Frank, Jr. and Mike were both born there.

The family moved to Cincinnati in 1955 where Frank started his own business, a manufacturer’s rep firm, in 1958. Over the course of five decades, three of his six children worked for him. The Frank J. Campisano Company was well known in the industry for Frank’s integrity. His business thrived for 50 years before merging with a larger firm in 2010. Frank loved golf, Josie, his six kids, and nine grandkids. He was known as a generous and thoughtful man. Deeply loved by family and friends, he left an imprint on all of our lives.
