RUEHLMANN, Eugene Peter, beloved husband of more than 61 years of the late Virginia Juergens Ruehlmann. Devoted father of Ginny (David) Wiltse, Pete (Kathy), Margie (Tom) Straus, Andrea (Dick) Cornett, Jim (Donna), Mark (Anna), Rick (Wendy). Preceded in death by his son Greg (Jean). Loving grandfather of Amy (Don) Duffey, David (Andrea) Wiltse, Catherine (Colin) Welch, Missy (Dave) Brennan, Sarah (Wes) Miller, Becky (Andy) Motter, Julie (Alec) Dailey, Matt and Rachel Straus, Elizabeth (Dave) Mangano, Andrew and Bridget Cornett, Jen Terry, Kristen, Gregory (Diana), Amanda, Keith, James, Joe, Abby, Sydney, Ricky, Courtney, Grayson, and Riley Ruehlmann. Devoted great-grandfather of Andrew, Matthew and Lauren Duffey, Jack and Molly Brennan, Maggie, Natalie, Ellie and Anna Miller, Kate and Charlie Motter, Rebecca Welch and Alexandra Kinzler. Dear brother of Elmer Ruehlmann and Louise Mandell, and preceded in death by brothers John, Bill, Carl and Albert Ruehlmann and sisters Hattie Decher, Helen Rahe and Edith Betz. Caring uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ruehlmann was a former City Councilman, Vice Mayor and Mayor of Cincinnati and was very active in many community projects. He retired from the law office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP.

Passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the age of 88. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12, from 5:00-8:00PM at the MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Road. Celebration of Mr. Ruehlmann's life will be held Thursday, June 13, 10:00AM at Westwood First Presbyterian Church, 3011 Harrison Avenue.
