Elvera M. Bergdolt, September 24, 1929 – March 4, 2014
Elvera M. Bergdolt (DiMuzio), 84, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 1014. Elvera was born in Cincinnati to Vincenzo DiMuzio and Vincenza Castelluccio.
Beloved wife of 40 years to Emil L. Bergdolt, she worked alongside her husband, who founded American Mortgage Service Company. Together they raised 6 daughters: Kathleen Barnum (James); Marlene Sauer (Theodore); Polly DeFilippo (Loren); Meg Freese (Donald); Jennifer Jones (Michael); Sally Helmchen (Richard).
Preceded in death by her second husband, Victor Effler, with whom she enjoyed 11 years of marriage and whose family enriched her life.
Elvera was also preceded in death by one grandson, George William Freese, her dear sisters Antoinette Contadino (John) and Helen Kennedy (Doran), her brothers Angelo (Mary) and Joe (Linda), and dear brother-in-law, Dr. Kenneth Bergdolt.
She is survived by 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brother Rudolf DiMuzio (Marva deceased) and sister-in-law Colleen Bergdolt, along with many dear nieces and nephews.
