BECKERT, Donald E. Beloved husband of the late Virginia "Ginny" Beckert (nee Schmitt). Loving father of Jim (Nanette) Beckert, Jane (Don) Karches and Martha (Mike) Strawser. Devoted grandfather of Steven, Caeli, Maria and Michael Beckert, Kyle, Zach, Holly and Hannah Karches and Michael, David and Brian Strawser and great grandfather of Caroline, Henry and Sophia. Dear brother of the late Herbert (Juanita) Beckert and the late Rosemary (Bill) McKinley. Donald was in the graduating class of 1949 from the University of Notre Dame. Passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 in his 90th year. Visitation on Monday from 9:00AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM at Bayley, 990 Bayley Place Drive.
