KARR, Daniel M., passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 60. He was born on June 4, 1965, in Berlin, Germany, the son of the late Duane M. and Lois J. (nee Grotrian) Karr.

Dan is survived by his devoted wife of almost 18 years, Jeanette Karr (nee Hacker). Dear brother of Denise Karr. Treasured brother-in-law of Tony Gannon, Don Hacker, Jr., Kelly (Gary) Hurst, Jim Hacker, and Joseph (Stephanie) Hacker. Cherished nephew of Arnold Grotrian. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Dan is preceded in passing his grandparents Irvin & Vivian Karr and Herman & Gertrude Grotrian, his grandparents-in-law Charles & Margaret Hacker, his in-laws Eileen & Donald Weber and Donald E. Hacker Sr., along with his aunts and uncles James & Eleanor Karr and Fred & Marsha Grotrian.

Dan's greatest joy in life was the life he built with Jeanette. Best friends from the start, there were rarely times that they were not together. There were endless talks of their travels, reliving memories from their trips and when or where they were going next. Cruising, Disney, Vegas or their beloved Gatlinburg trips, it didn't matter where they went as long as they were together. He was looking forward to retirement and ultimately moving to Tennessee, which he referred to as the "Mother Land." Dan was an avid history buff, a huge movie and documentary enthusiast, and enjoyed his casino games online. He looked forward to the weekend Yahtzee games with Jimmy and Jeanette, and holds the "Game of Shame" championship title. He was a very proud uncle - a title he didn't take lightly. He always wanted to snuggle the new additions to the family and would be first in line with the Aunties to welcome the babies into the family with his deeply philosophical discussions. He had the gift of gab that he inherited from his Grandma Karr, making him a great story teller. His sense of humor was enjoyed and appreciated by anyone who knew him - he could make you laugh until you cried. He was a lover of all dogs and never met one that he didn't want to pet or get down on the floor and rough-house with, especially his fur-niece Suzie who he lovingly referred to as just a dog. He loved good food and sweet treats, and he was always a very willing taste tester. He was a loyal and honorable man who loved his life and his family beyond measure and would do whatever he could to help those who needed him.
