Catherine Ann Magyar

MAGYAR, Catherine Ann, May 14, 1949 - December 28, 2015. Passed away surrounded by family and friends after a valiant 22 year fight with Muscular Dystrophy, Catherine has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She pioneered early research studies towards finding a cause and a cure for Muscular Dystrophy. She leaves behind a legacy of a beautiful 46 year marriage to the love of her life, John Magyar, Jr. Together they created a life of love and laughter. Even through difficult times her sense of humor was something she relied on as did all those who loved and knew her. She also leaves a large family of siblings, in-laws, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. Catherine loved Cincinnati and worked in many iconic positions with The Cincinnati Enquirer, The Cincinnati Post, AAA Travel Agency, WCPO Television as well as her later years as a realtor. Private Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 2848 Fischer Place, on Thursday at 9:30AM.
