Calvin Johnson

Calvin Johnson, Sr. was born to the union of James Emery and Donna Mae Johnson on February 2, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Robert A. Taft High School.
Shortly after, Calvin married Jeanette Johnson. He had seven children, including one child from a previous relationship. He was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Calvin was a hard worker and always gave his best. He loved to cook. He was a Chef for many years in Cincinnati's well known establishments, such as Annie Pearls, Frischs, Perkins, and Between Rounds.
Calvin was an all-around sports fan. His favorite past time was bowling. He absolutely loved the game. He was very competitive in bowling and had won countless tournaments, receiving several trophies and awards. He even bowled a perfect 300 game ranking him in the National Bowling Hall of Fame. He also was an avid skater and enjoyed playing basketball. Calvin was always down for a game of corn hole, another one of his favorites.
He was preceded in death by his parents; James Emery and Donna Mae Johnson, loving wife; Jeanette Johnson, brothers; James Johnson, Sr. and John Johnson, Sr.; as well as his sister Norma Jean Pickett.
Calvin leaves not to mourn but to cherish his precious memories; three brothers, Donald Johnson (Margo), Kenny Johnson (Robin), and Michael Johnson (Vanessa); three sisters, Barbara Flowers, Loretta Paige, and Carol Johnson; seven children, Ricky Ford (Donna), Lynette Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Jr. (Alicia), Lisa Johnson (George), Anthony Johnson, Sr. (Lori), Nicole Johnson, and Natalie Johnson; twenty seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Rhonda, Kendre, Anthony, Amanda, Chris (Ashley), James, Kristen, Ashley, Catherine, Margot (Kemar), Chelsea, Danielle, Alyssa, Selina, Arianna, Henry, David, Amaya, Aurielle, Anthony Jr., Kenneth, Edward, Landon, Jenny and lil Zoe; many great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
