Ann Marie Zaffiro (nee Bove), 89, passed away on May 1, 2020. Ann was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 5, 1930, the youngest of eight children born to Domenico and Chiarina Bove. She graduated from Our Lady of Angels High School and worked as a secretary for a time, but spent most of her life as a devoted wife and mother and then grandmother. After her children were in school, Ann also worked in food service at Our Lady of Grace Elementary School and later for Cincinnati Public Schools. She was active in her parish and worked as a volunteer for 20 years at the Shepherd's Closet, a ministry of St. Michael Church in Lower Price Hill.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Frank and six siblings. She is survived by one brother, Salvadore "Babe" Bove, her children Greg Zaffiro, Alan (Lisa) Zaffiro, Annette Zaffiro, Paul (Susan) Zaffiro and Joe (Kristen) Zaffiro; grandchildren Anne (Anthony) Losekamp, Teresa (Jacob) Day, Christina (Pat O'Donnell) Zaffiro, Sarah (Kyle Karnes) Zaffiro, Rachael (Drew Stevens) Zaffiro, Carissa Zaffiro, Gabriella Zaffiro, and Giovanni Zaffiro; great-grandchildren John and James Losekamp and Theodore and Jayden Day; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A mass and memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
