SPIESER, Alison A., Beloved daughter of Richard A. and Barbara F. Spieser (Nee McAndrews). Cherished sister of Michelle Mullinger, Jeff (Kerry) Spieser, Eric (Jennifer) Spieser and Brad Spieser. Devoted aunt of Jack, Anna Mullinger, Grace, Ben and Rachael Spieser. Also survived by her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Love is the theme that weaves its way through Alison’s life. To know Alison was to love her. Once you met her, you never forgot her, and she never forgot you. Alison loved her family more than anything. She hugged tighter and longer than anyone else. Always excited to see people, she laughed and smiled when she saw you. There have been many special people in her life that she never forgot. We spoke of them often; she loved to hear stories from the old days.

A girly girl, Alison looked great in pink. She loved getting her nails painted, and wearing rings, necklaces or sunglasses. Her thick and curly hair was the part of her look that people never forgot.

Alison was smart. Very smart. She always knew what was going and generally had an opinion about it. She wore her heart on her sleeve and was happy all the time. All she wanted was to be around those she loved. If her mom was baking in the kitchen, Alison was close by. If her dad was cutting the grass, Alison watched from the window. She also enjoyed waving to people, be it from the car, the front door or the train at the zoo. People excited her!

Her amazing memory was just one of the many things that made her unique. Alison loved to talk about places she had been, whether it was the zoo, a vacation, Rost school, a long ago outing to the bowling alley or a trip to the Zip Dip. Animals, especially Zoo babies, were a favorite. The commercials always made her smile. Alison remembered pets from the old neighborhood too, just as much as she did her Morningridge family.

Alison loved any family event, especially birthday parties. They were everything she enjoyed – family, singing, blowing out the candles, clapping and of course some homemade chocolate cake. Alison was the only one that never tried to lay claim to a corner piece - her siblings undoubtedly appreciated less competition. (Thank you Bear). Alison was not above sneaking a cookie, she had the Spieser sweet tooth. She was incredibly stealthy and if Alison had her eye on something, she did her best to get it.

For a time when she was a teenager, Alison loved to carry around a bag of some sort where she kept her precious finds. She had an affinity for socks, pens and things that felt silky. Who doesn’t? Alison was a deceptively fast runner, and sometimes she would laugh as she ran. Her family will never forget the time Alison tried to make a run for it at Kings Island. She only made it a few steps, they felt like very long steps. Good for her, she never quit trying.

Rost School was a major part of Alison’s life. She loved everything about it, starting with rides on the school bus. Alison graduated at age 22, having been prom queen. She also helped deliver the classroom mail. Seeing her friends and teachers was a joy in her life. Rost School was so good to Alison. She never forgot her teachers and liked to hear about her time there.

Music was another thing Alison loved. When a song came on that she liked, she kept time with her hands. She never forgot the song they played at her graduation, and it made her sad to hear it. Game shows were another favorite. The excitement, clapping and even the hosts made her happy. Shout out to Alex Trebek.

Alison was an excellent communicator, despite her small vocabulary. The two words she said the most were Mom and Dad. Love was fierce, strong and enduring among them and that will never change. Alison is deeply missed by her brothers and sister. The impact she had on her beloved family’s life is unimaginable.

Love you Bear!
